"16th and Philly" is a 48 - minute documentary that explores the never before told story of the rise and fall of one of the nation's greatest playground leagues of all time located at 16th Street and Susquehanna Avenue in the heart of North Philly. From the late 80's throughout the 90's and into the early 2000's, "16th Street" was the basketball paramount and regularly compared to NYC's "Rucker Park."
"16th and Philly" features interviews from Philly basketball legends and historians such as Aaron "AO" Owens (a former member of the AND1 basketball team), Jewell Williams (a former State Representative and current Philadelphia Sherrif) Buck James, Charlie Ellis, Rodney "Hotrod" Odrick, Dave "Dr. Foot" Scheiner, Littel Vaughn, Mike Morak (creator and founder of the Danny Rumph Tournament), plus more.
